5:30 p.m, Cannaught Place, Delhi. In a pleasant evening , wetted after mild monsoon rain, slowly blowing cold wind in summers, we were roaming there in search of some coffee there, after some shopping at Palika. We took an  underground sub-way to cross the road. The sub-way had children selling pirated books and some chewing gum stuff. It was a dark corner in the subway from where we heard a sudden shouting. like others there we also went ahead to see what the matter was, it was a tall boy screaming at small child of around 12 years. we could not figure out the reason of this mess, but the boy was clearly drunk. He was wearing a black T-shirt , his eyes were pierced like some rockstar and his shoes were red colored, a complete mismatch with some green colored jeans. However, which attracted me the most was the sketch of the face made on his T-shirt. It was the same face that i saw a number of times on the T-shirts of many other guys who love to look like some rock star. It was the face of Che Guevara.

Che Guevara had been the face South American socialist cum communist revolution and was contemporary of Fidel Castro. He was the father of Guirella warfare in that region and for more details ask CIA, who bitted bullet to nail down this communist hero. Started his career as a doctor,he later dedicated his life for the cause of poor, after seeing the much social discrimination in the region and unequal distribution of resources , apparently due to colonialism, in the name of free markets.  It was Che who inspired the New York Times Bestseller , The motorcycle diaries, the notes of his journey in 1950 (4500 kms) and 1951(8000 kms ) in Latin America, on a motorbike. This journey could have been a dream for those in today’s scenario who try to fake of being tough by biking  a few hundred kilometers, or for those who ride mad in the nights. This journey was an introspection for Che and he learned the drawbacks of colonialism and felt the pain of labours working for different private operatives. But Che thought that the only way to correct the situation was to go for a complete revolution, a complete dismiss of current government as he thought the government being the toy of colonial powers and anti-people. And thats where he and Fidel Castro matched their frequencies. They were a part of million armed mutinies against the government. Later they succeeded in throwing away the government of Cuba in so-called Cuban Revolution. They framed laws which were pro-comminist and started neutral land-reform practices. Che and Castro had been successful in spoiling an all american affair in Latin America. The communist heroes were able to establish an anti-US government , just few thousand miles away from the strongest Colonial power of those times, the USA.

i can’t describe entirely who Che was…just take a look at his thoughts..

“I don’t care if I fall as long as someone else picks up my gun and keeps on shooting.”

Silence is argument carried out by other means.

The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall.

I know you are here to kill me. Shoot, coward, you are only going to kill a man.

If you tremble indignation at every injustice then you are a comrade of mine.

In fact, if Christ himself stood in my way, I, like Nietzsche, would not hesitate to squish him like a worm

I knew that the moment the great governing spirit strikes the blow to divide all humanity into just two opposing factions, I would be on the side of the common people.
I am not Christ or a philanthropist, old lady, I am all the contrary of a Christ…. I fight for the things I believe in, with all the weapons at my disposal and try to leave the other man dead so that I don’t get nailed to a cross or any other place”
I am not a liberator. Liberators do not exist. The people liberate themselves.
I am not interested in dry economic socialism. We are fighting against misery, but we are also fighting against alienation
We cannot be sure of having something to live for unless we are willing to die for it.

i don’t know why that guy was screaming on that child, but if he had known who Che was, and he would still wear a Che T-Shirt, he would have never screamed on a poor child, who were not even able to dress himself with something which can be called cloths. By just wearing Che, doesn’t make you look cool, you have to follow what Che stood for, you have to know what else is there other than being  just a cool dude , for a man to explore, u may not be able to ride thousand kilometers for that, but still you can spend sometime to think over this. And yes, believing Che doesn’t mean that you should pick up guns against the government,as this is not the time when Che started his battle, and its not the same government like government of those days, its too much democratic these days, and we are a  part  of world’s largest and fairest democracy , you just have to  be cautious about things that can go  against people and have courage to raise your voice against such  things. And if that is too much to be asked for, than at least don’t scream at a poor , just because he would not be able to give it back  to you.
